Scrumptious, luscious, divinely delectable, and nutritious are some of the terms that appropriately describe Jamaican jerk avocado dip. I first had the dip with plantain chips, served as an appetizer, at a wedding reception years ago. So good was it, I cannot recall what the entrée was. The dip is derived from Guacamole, which originated in Mexico, but the added jerk seasoning makes the dip distinctly Jamaican. I have added garlic because of its nutritional and medicinal value and its spiciness, which makes so many dishes excitingly delectable. The added garlic to this dip takes its flavour to another level.
